My Funny Valentine

The ladies in my mom's club sure do like to party - with toddlers and preschoolers! It seems like every couple months there is another party to plan and attend. It's a great way for us to stay busy and we always look forward to a morning full of snacks, crafts and fun with friends.

Today was our Valentine's Party. Allen was out on alert (again) so, unfortunately, he wasn't able to go with us. Samuel had fun making crafts, which really meant that I assembled the craft while he played with the supplies. He did "color" a picture and really enjoyed "making his own valentine" for Daddy. He stuck the adhesive hearts on construction paper and even scribbled his own message inside. Daddy was very impressed and loved his special card. I made him a beaded bracelet with his name, but he wouldn't let me put it on him.

Later, there was a Valentine exchange where Samuel got to drop his Tron valentines into his friends' boxes. We also enjoyed snacks and a fun game where the kids got to pick up hearts that were scattered around the room.
